Introducing IELTS Nurses

  • By Lidia

Leaving your homeland to settle in a new country is a challenging yet exciting process. Recent employment data released by the NHS indicates that nurse job vacancies have risen to unprecedented levels due to severe nursing shortages and high demands of an aging population.

For our nurses, we’ve created IELTS Nurses to help overseas qualified healthcare professionals to register with the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) and thus enable them to advance their career in UK. More information on the NMC registration process can be found here.

For our nurses, the first step of the journey is achieving an overall 7.0 in the Academic IELTS exam across all four skills, namely Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Information on our intensive, i10 IELTS courses can be found here.

Following the IELTS, our specialist nurses work closely with students and train them to achieve high scores in the competence based CBT (Computer Based Test) and OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) required for NMC registration. It is said that the OSCE test is difficult, as only 50% of candidates pass on their first attempt. To ensure your success, you will be invited to sit a mock examination at the end of the course that will be assessed by a clinician.  This is due to the practical training and guidance from registered nurses our students benefit from.

Once your NMC registration is complete, we shall assist you gain employment within UK hospitals. Our recruitment team is dedicated to finding you jobs for NHS and private healthcare providers.

Our goal is to empower you to start in your nursing career in UK. From our IELTS tutors and examiners to our experienced nurses, our thorough preparation and coaching will help you to complete the NMC registration process.
