Frequently asked questions, answered now.

Who is the course suitable for?

The course is suitable for nurses choosing the OET instead of the IELTS to satisfy the NMC’s English language requirement.

What is class like?

Each class is 1 hr and 15 mins long  and focuses on either Writing subsection and preparing a referral letter. There are a maximum of 6 nurses in a single Writing class. Nurses are grouped according to ability, so you will upskill with medics reaching a similar range of scores.

How long will it take me to complete?

Completed in 3 weeks (attending 3 days per week) or 5 weeks (attending 2 days per week), the course will prepare you to consistently reach high scores in your Writing. Across the duration of your course, you will be assessed on task completion and your ability to tackle both parts of the OET Writing exam. On completion of the i10, you can then have one:one sessions with our tutors to work on you the parts of the course that you need to further practice.

What about homework?

Learners will be expected to produce referral letters that will be marked by experts and NHS practitioners. There is also free practice material in the Medics’ Centre.

At the end of the course, a mini-mock will be delivered under examination conditions.
